Dr. Deisy Cristina Boscán is a distinguished psychologist and psychoanalyst based in La Jolla, California, with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. Originally from Venezuela, she specializes in pediatric and adult neuropsychology and is deeply committed to helping individuals achieve emotional wellness and personal growth. Dr. Boscán holds a doctorate in Psychology from The Fielding Institute in Santa Barbara, California, and is a Board-Certified Psychologist in California. She completed her psychoanalytic training at the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center and is board-certified in psychoanalysis by the American Psychoanalytic Association. Additionally, Dr. Boscán is fluent in both English and Spanish, enabling her to serve a diverse range of clients across all ages.

With a rich background in neuropsychology, Dr. Boscán has made significant contributions to pediatric and adult neuropsychological assessments. She previously served as a neuropsychologist research associate at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine’s Neuroscience Department. She is currently a San Diego Psychoanalytic Center (SDPC) professor. Throughout her career, she has supervised over 5,000 assessments of children and adults and currently supervises psychiatric fellows from UCSD’s Psychiatry Department. Dr. Boscán is also recognized as an expert witness for the Family Court of San Diego County Superior Court. Internationally known for her contributions to psychoanalysis, Dr. Boscán served as Vice-President of the International Psychoanalytic Studies Organization. Her work is recognized globally, and she is dedicated to integrating diverse perspectives into her practice. As a bilingual professional, she collaborates effectively with individuals of all ages, ensuring culturally sensitive and personalized care.

Dr. Boscán is the founder, CEO, and Clinical Director of the La Jolla Psychology Center (LJPC) and the La Jolla Child Development Center (LJCDC). Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and furry companions. She is enthusiastic about outdoor activities, physical fitness, cooking, traveling, and gardening, and she has recently made and gifted sage butter to her neighbors.
